At Stavelse Metaalbouw, we specialise in the design and construction of high-quality high-pressure timber treatment installations for the wood industry. Following the successful completion of the manufacturing phase in our workshops, another fully custom-built autoclave installation has now been delivered to Ireland, where the next stage of the project is underway.

Complex Transport, Carefully Coordinated
Transporting such a large industrial installation required thorough preparation and detailed coordination. Escorted exceptional transports were arranged for the largest components, while additional equipment, structural elements and accessories were delivered through several standard shipments.
Thanks to the close cooperation between our engineering, production, logistics and installation teams, every component arrived safely and on schedule.
A New Milestone in Ireland
The arrival of the installation in Ireland marks an important milestone in the project. What started as an engineering concept at Stavelse Metaalbouw is now becoming a fully operational timber treatment facility at the customer’s site.
Our experienced installation team has already started unloading and assembling the various components on location.

Over the coming weeks, the project will continue with mechanical assembly, electrical connections, automation integration, programming and commissioning.

In our workshop, our skilled craftsmen are putting the finishing touches on the construction, piping, metal fabrication, welding works, electrical controls and complete finishing of the installation. This month, the focus is on the construction of a new high-pressure autoclave. The project is currently in an intensive phase where mechanical construction, welding, piping, safety components, and control systems come together. Every autoclave that leaves our factory is the result of precise engineering, deep material expertise, and a strong commitment to reliability and long-term durability.
Our internal production teams work according to strict quality procedures that have been refined over many years. The welding of pressure vessels and structural components is carried out by certified professionals, and — as with all our pressure equipment — all welds are systematically tested by an external, independent inspection body. Project Highlight – Storage Tank Reinforcement
Following last month’s improvements to the autoclave, this month we turn our attention to the storage tank—a component that required a completely different approach. Limited accessibility makes internal inspection challenging, so corrosion prevention was a top priority.
To achieve this, we applied an extra-strong protective coating and collaborated with a specialized firm for precision sandblasting and coating. The tank was also redesigned to comply with strict industry standards, and the welding demanded a premium finish.
The result? A high-quality, long-lasting solution that reflects our commitment to excellence and partnership. Every detail was executed with care to ensure reliability for years to come.

This month, we are working on a high-pressure timber treatment plant designed to handle special treatment products—a challenge that drives innovation. Together with our customer, we adapted our standard design to meet the specific product demands. We investigated and agreed on the parts that should be made of stainless steel. To protect the mild steel of the autoclave, we conducted extensive lab tests to select the most suitable coating.
